Conference of mid-term dissemination of the results and progress of the BALL Project

Last 20th November 2015 the conference of mid-term dissemination of the results and progress of the BALL project took place in Alicante. The Director of the Permanent University and Coordinator of the BALL Project, Concha Bru, presented the project to the attendees, as well as the materials implemented during the research process carried out throughout the first year.

Next, Víctor M. Pina, Academic Coordinator of the UPUA, showed the Comparative Mapping Project report undertaking an analysis of the demographic situation of the partners participating in the project, and comparing the labour market outlook in the different countries. Afterwards, he carried out a comparison of the actions and initiatives for retirement preparation, finally identifying future perspectives and tendencies.

The last intervention was performed by Marian Alesón, project researcher, who carried out the presentation of the Comparative Survey Report. She presented the analysis of the readiness level for retirement among European citizens along with the current situation of preparation for retirement. The conference took place in the Campus of San Vicente del Raspeig, and it gained a widespread acceptance among all the local sectors involved in the subject of the project: companies, syndicates, neighbourhood associations, student associations, and stakeholders.
