The idea is to get the various age groups to know each other better and to overcome their prejudices linked to age in order to form a more coherent and cooperative group in which learners don’t look at each other through the “age prism”.
We propose to proceed in successive phases. In the first one the class should be clearly divided by the teacher into 2 distinct and well identified age groups to accentuate the generation gap.
The games to be played here oppose the two teams (“Old” versus “Young”) with the objective of gaining points. Learners cannot decide which team they belong to.

It will be a good idea to organize the class into groups. Each group must have at least a common interest like age, computer oriented…. When one group is doing a lesson like math the other group by deal with a playful activities. This will make them more independent and the teacher can handle better the class. It must be also organize playful activities in some common lessons like Business, health, Geography. The Geography can be done through playful activities, using computer games, instead of a typical reading a book of geography. The lessons must be done in a different way. They can find a different space than a classroom, and this can be done using the Technology. Some lessons can be done outside class or through playful activities. The most important is to create a climate of respect among the students and the teacher. |

It would be a good idea to increase socialisation and collaboration among the learners in order to achieve a common aim. 1)Every learner can tell their interests and hobbies so they can friendly discuss about them. 2)Divide the class in small groups of different ages and learning levels. 3)Each group should have a temporary leader for each objective to achieve. 4)The leader must be the best in that field and motivate the others with practical devices ; that is the best learner in history can explain the lesson ,the best in information technology can help the others etc. 5)Activities such as sports, role-playing and karaoke will also bring students together. 6)Older people can help the young in some subjects and the young can help the older in other subjects. |

To help teachers in their work with different learner generations whose educational and motivational levels vary considerably, it is necessary to create a good atmosphere in the class. The best way to reach this aim is - playing games where people are given the opportunity to get to know and understand each other. We suggest the game "IT IS PART OF ME", which encourages participants to tell about themselves, share their feelings, get to know other members of the group, and build an open and sincere atmosphere. The game is run by a teacher who has assembled an object belonging to each learner, these objects have to be put in a box. The teacher picks an object and asks the player, whose item he has picked, to tell about their feelings, experience and thoughts. |

SPAIN

We initially propose a course of “Trainers for trainers” carried out by those voluntary teachers or professionals of the centre (psychologists, educational psychologists, tutors, etc.) for training them in coaching strategies and management of complex groups. Practical examples/ case studies, in which intergenerational experiences are the key, would be used in order to get the student body of diverse ages and needs to participate. |

- Motivation changes according to the task they are learning.

- In English subjects, if the trainer sets the scene for joyful activities during role plays that may learning better.
- Mature ones can contribute their life experience deal with subject they are working on.
- We can prepare a simple questionnaire to check the trainees’ interests for taking part actively during the course.
- Peer corrections. ( Learners can correct each other’s work )
- Dictation work. There is a runner and writer in the activity. Runner runs towards the board and reads the text sticked on the board and the writer writes what the reader reads.
